The CFO Panel is one of the largest CFO communities and benchmarking databases in the German-speaking world. It was founded by Horváth in 2003 and currently includes data from more than 1,000 companies, primarily from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The CFO Panel focuses on the finance sector. It focuses on key trends, challenges, areas of responsibility and activities of the chief financial officer (CFO). Core elements are continuous benchmarking with regard to quantitative and qualitative data as well as an annual CFO study. The CFO study addresses current topics and issues related to finance.
Effectively improve the performance of the entire finance division
The CFO Panel's goals go well beyond just gaining benchmarks. We want to effectively increase the performance of the entire finance sector. The highly topical benchmark database enables you to enter into a comparative discussion. You will understand differences, work out trends and recognise optimisation potential. You can also enter into a non-binding dialogue with our experts and discuss current concerns and individual issues as well as potential optimisation measures.
Online data collection is carried out throughout the year. We ask each member company to update its data annually. The basis for data collection is a uniform process model for controlling and accounting. This is coordinated with renowned institutions and working groups and enables you to compare companies with different set-ups. Each member decides for itself in which questions it will participate in the benchmarking. Our database includes the following dimensions:
- Resource capacities (FTE)
- Process costs
- Selected (performance) KPIs
The results are analysed individually and offer you a direct comparison to the companies of the CFO Panel. The benchmarking report is available in the CFO Panel app after you have completed the questionnaire.
Regular CFO Panel meetings strengthen the networking character of the CFO Panel and its exchange opportunities. You can intensively discuss selected results and valuable best practices with other members. In addition, new trends in controlling and accounting are presented.
